“Educating our children with the skills they need to live fullfilling lives.”

RE & Art Week

Last years theme was..... Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat!

Throughout the school we took part in various activities to find out more about the amazing story of Joseph and his twelve brothers. Groups from each year group helped collage to make stained glass windows and plant pots filled with different coloured flowers that are being displayed in Reception.  We all learned a song called 'Who put the colours in the Rainbow' and performed this in our Friday assembly.

In Reception we did an experiment where we melted different coloured sweets and watched the colours mix together; it's amazing what a pack of skittles can create!! In Year 1 we had a visit from a lady who showed us how to make felt pictures, we worked in teams to make these and had great fun! In Year 2 we mixed paints to make lots of different colours and painted circles with them, we then stuck these together to make beautiful coloured baubles which we plan to hang in our classrooms.

We had an amazing and very colourful week!!
