The school day ends at 3.15pm. In order to avoid congestion we ask that you do not enter the porches at the end of the day, if you need to speak to a member of staff, please wait until all the children have been collected.
The Pre-school session is 9.05am until 12.05pm daily.
Parents who are eligible for 30 hours childcare can access the extra 15 hours per week as an afternoon session which is from 12.05pm until 3.05pm. This includes a lunch at a cost of £2.00 per day.
In order to maximise the safety of all our children, please do not park on the main car park, the road or the pavement at the front of the Academy. The police do monitor parking regularly and will ticket cars which are parked illegally.
The Rugby Club (situated opposite the Academy) kindly let us have use of their car park for parking. Please park in marked bays only and for the safety of children and pedestrians consider your speed on entry and exit . Please also have consideration for nearby residents and do not obstruct their driveways.
In order for us to contact you if your child is ill or has an accident, it is essential for us to have up to date contact details. Please provide as many contactable numbers as possible (home, work and mobile). Where possible please give at least three contacts.
Please keep your mobile numbers up to date with us, we use a texting service to keep parents informed of events at school.
Smoke Free Environment
Our building and grounds are a designated smoke free environment. Smoking is prohibited.
Please note there are no dogs allowed on the site, with the exception of guide dogs.
We teach children what are expected behaviours. Each year, in September when the children move to a new class, the children contribute and discuss the behaviours they want in their classrooms. This agreement is shared with parents.
We work hard to teach children the following values:
- To be kind to each other at all times
- To always be polite to everyone
- To keep our building and grounds tidy and to look after our equipment
- Always walk
- Talk quietly
Children earn stickers for good work and behaviour, certificates and prizes are awarded in assembly for multiples of 10 stickers.
Prescribed medication can be administered by the office staff on request, please call into the office for further details.
